Bu araştırma, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin hemşirelikte sürdürülebilirliğe yönelik tutumları ve ilişkili faktörlerin belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Tanımlayıcı tipte yapılan araştırmanın verileri 23-30 Kasım 2024 tarihleri arasında çevrim içi olarak toplanmıştır. Çalışmanın evrenini bir üniversitenin Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesinde 2024-2025 güz döneminde ikinci, üçüncü ve dördüncü sınıflarında öğrenim gören 204 hemşirelik öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Örneklem büyüklüğü, %95 güven düzeyi ve %5 hata payı ile 134 kişi olarak hesaplanmıştır. Veriler “Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu” ve” Hemşirelikte Sürdürülebilirlik Tutumları Anketi” ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizi, SPSS 25 (IBM) istatistik programı kullanarak yapılmıştır. Verilerin normal dağılıma uygunluğu Skewness ve Kurtosis değerlerine göre belirlenmiş, +1 ve -1 değerleri aralığı normal dağılım kabul edilmiştir. Tanımlayıcı veriler sayı, yüzde, ortalama, standart sapma, ortanca, en yüksek değerler ve en düşük değerler ile özetlenmiştir. İki grup arasındaki farkın tespit edilmesi için bağımsız gruplarda t testi, ikiden fazla grup arasında farkın test edilmesi için ANOVA testi yapılmıştır. Katılımcıların %81,3’ü kadın, %35,8’i 4. sınıf öğrencisidir. Katılımcıların %50’si Sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedefleri hakkında bilgi sahibi olduğunu, %83,6’sı sürdürülebilirlik hakkında eğitim almadığını, %84,3 ‘ü sürdürülebilirlik konusunda eğitimi gerekli gördüklerini, %94 ‘ü sürdürülebilirliğin hemşirelik mesleğine katkısı olduğunu bildirmişlerdir. Sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedefleri hakkında bilgi sahibi olanların, sürdürülebilirlik konusunda eğitim alanların, sürdürülebilirliğin hemşirelik mesleğine katkısı olduğunu düşünenlerin Hemşirelikte Sürdürülebilirlik Tutumları Anketi toplam puan ortalamaları anlamlı yüksektir (p<0,005). Sonuç olarak hemşirelik öğrencilerinin sürdürülebilirliğe yönelik tutumları ortalamanın üzerinde bulunmuştur. Sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedefleri hakkında bilgi sahibi olma, sürdürülebilirlik konusunda eğitim alma ve sürdürülebilirliğin hemşirelik mesleğine katkısı olduğunu düşünme durumu ile sürdürülebilirliğe yönelik tutum arasında anlamlı ilişki saptanmıştır. Hemşirelik müfredatına sürdürülebilirlik ile ilgili dersler ve uygulamaların eklenmesi, çevresel sürdürülebilirlik konusunda farkındalık için etkinlikler düzenlenmesi önerilmektedir.
